2019 08 Hend Family Backpack
Alexander Thompson Arnold CPA’s is challenging Henderson to collect both non-perishable food items and school supplies during the month of July.  In a continued effort to promote Community Wellness and Involvement, ATA has a goal to engages as many businesses and citizens in this initiative as possible.  We will be collecting both non-perishable type food items and school supplies with a goal of delivering to every school in Henderson County.
There will be various drop off points around town for people to donate items.  So far, the ATA office on 1st Street, Rideout’s on Green ST, Newt’s Tobacco Mart on Hwy 41, SITEX on Commonwealth DR, and 2030 FastTrack located in the Eastgate shopping center have all agreed to be collection sites throughout July.
Food items may include anything that is easy for a kiddo to fix on their own:  Peanut Butter, peanut butter/cheese crackers, Canned Ravioli, Microwaveable noodles, mac n’ cheese, soup, etc.  School supplies vary depending on that grade level, however, there is always a need throughout the year.  The FRC’s in each school can stock supplies and have them available to students as the need arises during the school year.  SITEX Corporation has also agreed to allow participating companies purchase backpacks through their vendor at the wholesale price.
