Director, Northwest Kentucky Training Consortium | Kyndle

Originally from Glasgow, Ky., Betsy Wells-Jones and her family moved to Henderson 27 years ago. After working in economic development at Big Rivers Electric Corporation and focusing on workforce development and education at Northwest Kentucky Forward, she is currently director of the Northwest Kentucky Training Consortium.

The consortium is a non-profit organization partnered with Kyndle aimed at taking our already well-prepared workforce to the next level with training focused on the job specific needs of business and industry in Henderson, McLean, Union and Webster counties. Wells-Jones works with more than 75 consortium members to provide their employees classes on topics ranging from Excel to Lean Manufacturing. Education, workforce development and Work Ready Community initiatives through Kyndle remain a high priority for her.

A graduate of Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va., Wells-Jones serves on many committees and boards in Northwest Kentucky, including the Green River Workforce Investment Board, Green River Youth Council, Governor’s Early Childhood Development Council, Kyndle Education Foundation, Webster County Area Tech Center Steering Committee and Work Ready Community Committees in Henderson, Union, McLean and Webster counties.
