At the Kentucky Association for Economic Development annual state conference earlier this year in Owensboro, a panel of nationally prominent site consultants (folks paid to help companies find new places to relocate or expand) was asked this question: If a community had $50,000 to spend on promoting itself to people such as you, how would you spend the money?
The unanimous answer was: Spend it all on your website. That is your front door to the world, the place we all come first to check you out. If it's second rate, that's the impression we'll have of you. Make it first-class.
Kyndle heard that message loud and clear. That's why it has taken us a little while to finally launch our organization's new website, www.kyndle.us. We wanted to be certain it was as informative, functional and user-friendly as possible before we made it public. We didn't have $50,000 to spend on our site, but thanks to the hard-working and creative team at Oohology, the digital design and marketing firm who came up with the Kyndle name and logo, we now have a web presence that met our goals and still fit within our budget.
Kyndle.us is certainly a work in progress. Any good website is. If you see information on our site that is incorrect or needs updating, please tell us. If a certain link doesn't work or you find a feature hard to use, let us know. We'll fix it.
Our intention with Kyndle.us is to put our best foot forward for folks checking out our four-county region and our organization online. We also wanted it to be a dependable resource for our stakeholders, and a great referral source for connecting potential customers looking for goods or services with businesses that can help them.
So take some time to experience Kyndle.us. And look for regular blog entries in this space.
Until next time.
