Kyndle’s Fire Pit Pitch Contest & Business Expo Set for October 23 at Historic Soaper Building

HENDERSON, Ky. - The region’s largest free business showcase will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on October 23 in Downtown Henderson at the historic Soaper Building located at 145 Main Street.

Kyndle’s Fire Pit Pitch Contest & Business Expo will feature displays, giveaways, samples and general information from dozens of area business, agencies and organizations. Admission is free for the public and the cost to exhibit is also free for Kyndle stakeholders. The expo will include food, refreshments, music, door prizes and much, much more, all in an effort to help area residents become more familiar with the goods and services available in our area.

All Kyndle members are invited to take advantage of this great opportunity to promote what they do,” Margaret Ridley, Kyndle’s vice president of business support, said. “Kyndle is a big proponent of shopping local, and the expo will help businesses better educate the public about what’s available right here.”

Kyndle will also be hosting it’s “Fire Pit Pitch Contest” at 6 p.m. during the expo. Hopeful entrepreneurs who have recently completed Kyndle’s first “Entrepreneurship Boot Camp” will have the opportunity to pitch their developed business plans to a panel of professional judges. The winner will receive a small cash prize and in kind donations to help them get their business up and going.

Expo exhibitors will get one display table or equivalent space on which to display information about their businesses. Electricity for displays is available if requested. Non-members of Kyndle will be charged $200 to have a table at the expo. Exhibitors are encouraged to incorporate a “Halloween” theme into their displays.

Kyndle is the chamber of commerce for Henderson County, leads industrial recruitment effort and expansion efforts in Henderson, McLean, Webster and Union counties, and also partners with chambers in the other three counties to support local businesses.
