City of Henderson crews will be working on the removal of trip hazards on North Main Street sidewalks later this week.

Weather permitting, work will begin on Sept. 7. The work will take place on both sides of North Main Street from Fifth Street to 12th Street and has the potential to be noisy.

Once the work has been done to remove upraised areas of concrete, a paving contractor will be working on concrete panels that need to be replaced.

The City’s concrete contractor also will be working in the following areas over the next two to three weeks, some in the roadway and some on sidewalks. These work areas do not involve street closures, but motorists are asked to travel these areas with care.

— 2214 Wentworth: Minor street repairs.

— 878 Sinclair: Minor street repairs.

— 2243 Melwood Drive: Minor street repairs.

— Intersection of Cherry Street and Ingram Street: Minor street repairs.

— Walker Drive, U.S. 41 to the end: ADA ramps and sidewalk repairs.

— North Ingram Street, Fifth to Sixth: ADA ramps.

— North Alvasia Street, Fifth to Short Seventh: ADA ramps.

— Center Street (Center Circle to the end): ADA ramps.
