The Kyndle Nonprofit of the Year honors an outstanding nonprofit or religious organization that is a Kyndle stakeholder serving clients in Henderson, McLean, Union and/or Webster counties. Organizations may be nominated by their staff, board, volunteers, supporter or beneficiary of their services. Organizations that are members of the McLean County, Providence, Sebree or Union County chamber of commerce are also eligible.
If the recipient is based in Henderson County, it will be awarded a $1,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Henderson, which is sponsoring the event.
Kyndle is also accepting nominations for Volunteer of the Year. Anyone volunteering with a nonprofit that is a Kyndle stakeholder or a member of the McLean County, Providence, Sebree and/or Union County chamber of commerce is eligible. One volunteer will be honored from each of the four counties. Only one volunteer from a particular organization may be nominated in each county.
The deadline for nominations is noon on May 31.
The award recipients will be honored at the Kyndle Nonprofit of the Year Awards Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 15, at the Preston Arts Center on the Henderson Community College campus. Tickets are $13 for Kyndle stakeholders and members of chambers of commerce in neighboring counties, or $18 for nonmembers. Reservations can be made by contacting Kyndle at firstname.lastname@example.org or 270-826-7505.
