Kyndle Small Business Awards speaker
to offer regional trends, data

HENDERSON, Ky. -  Evansville real estate and business data expert David Matthews will be the featured speaker at the 2015 Kyndle Small Business of the Year Awards breakfast, set for 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 10 at Henderson Country Club.

Matthews, since 1980 the owner of the appraisal and counseling firm David Matthews Associates, will offer a presentation titled "The Tri-State Business Climate: A Statistical Overview." It will focus on business and retail trends and compare local data to national and international benchmarks.

"Every year, David produces what he calls his 'Real Estate Market Update' that covers what's happening in the region, not only with real estate statistics but also with indicators that impact local businesses," Kyndle CEO Brad Schneider said. "The report is a must-read, and at the breakfast David will present a version of that update with some special emphasis on Henderson County. For all business people who value fresh data, and most do, David's presentation should be very, very interesting."

Matthews is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and has more than 40 years experience in appraisal work. He has taught real estate classes at both the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana. He is past president and chair of the national Real Estate Counseling Group of America.
The breakfast will also feature recognition of Business of the Year Award winners from chambers in McLean, Webster and Union counties, followed by the naming of Kyndle's Small Business of the Year Award winners in two categories, 0 to 10 employees and 11 to 50 employees. Nominations for both awards are being taken through noon on Nov. 30. The 2014 winners were JD Byrider and Horsefeathers Jewelry & Gifts.

The cost to attend is $13 for Kyndle stakeholders, $18 for non-members and includes a buffet breakfast.
